Wind Tunnel Senna
Ayrton said in 1993 “If you take away Eau Rouge, you take away the reason why I do this”, which is why Paul Oz selected this particular pose. Senna as he would’ve been positioned when driving this most iconic section of track – left – right – up hill, accelerating hard, back end trying to kick out.
Unveiled at the Autosport International Show, this is a wind-tunnel version of the life-size Ayrton Senna statue. The work has been authorised by the Instituto Ayrton Senna and 10% of the sale will go to the Senna Foundation to support their incredible charity work.
The wind-tunnel Senna is sized at 60% of the original. Each piece takes about 12 weeks each to cast and finish – strictly limited to a total of 41 marking Ayrton’s race victories. Choose either a slate grey patina or bare bronze like the life-size at McLaren HQ. Paul does also plan to hand paint a couple of them.
Measures 1501mm x 910mm x 655mm and includes a luxury display plinth. This item will be shipped in a bespoke flight case. Please enquire for more details and pricing.
